Carie Ferreira

Carie Ferreira has worked in television and the internet for nearly a decade. She has six years’ experience as a writer and producer in newsrooms. Her work at KGPR focuses on electronic media, media relations, day-to-day pitching, segment development, video production, media training, and more for our clients.

Prior to KGPR, she booked and produced segments on KGO-TV’s The View From the Bay – the only live, local show of its kind in the Bay Area focusing on food and wine.   As both a segment producer and hard news producer, she has determined what stories, topics, and issues get media coverage for nearly eleven years.  As a producer, she has worked on coverage of several major world news events over the past decade, including the Bill Clinton impeachment, the 2000 presidential election, the Enron collapse and economic fallout, the dot-com boom and bust, the Iraq war, the South Asian tsunami disaster, Hurricane Katrina, and the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. On that day, she participated in producing a groundbreaking online webcast at Yahoo!, Inc., which provided coverage of the day’s events to thousands of people without access to television.

Carie enjoys spending time with her family and taking road trip adventures with her daughters.  She and her husband live in the East bay and she is an East Coast native.
